VHUES BEAUTY (“VHUES”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates this Shopify-powered store and website (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information and what choices you have. By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service on privacy matters, this Privacy Policy controls.

1) Scope & Definitions

Personal information means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person or household.

Sensitive information includes precise geolocation; government identifiers; full payment card numbers with security codes; health, biometric, or genetic data; racial or ethnic origin; union membership; sexual life or orientation; and data from known children under 13.

“Sell” and “Share” follow U.S. state privacy law meanings, where applicable.

Browsing does not require an account; some features (orders, returns, quizzes) do.

2) What We Collect

Contact & account: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address, login credentials, preferences.
Orders & support: items viewed, added, purchased, or returned; order IDs; messages to support; return status.
Payments: tokenized payment details via processors and fraud-screening data. We do not store full card numbers.
Device & usage: IP address, device/browser type, referral URLs, pages viewed, events, approximate location (from IP).
Quiz & forms: responses to the True Match Quiz and other forms (via Typeform).
Inferences: undertone/depth guidance and campaign affinity.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information or data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email privacy@vhues.ca for deletion.
For EEA/UK users, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 (or higher local age of consent).

3) Sources

You (checkout, account creation, quiz participation, messages, returns).

Automatic collection via cookies, pixels, and SDKs.

Service providers supporting commerce, payments, analytics, and logistics.

Advertising and analytics partners where permitted by law and your consent.

4) Why We Use Information & Legal Bases

We use personal information to:

Provide & fulfill orders, returns, accounts, shipping, and support.

Improve & personalize site performance, security, and fraud prevention.

Marketing & measurement (email/SMS if opted in, analytics, attribution).

Compliance & security obligations and lawful requests.

Text messaging opt-in data is excluded from sharing and is never sold.

5) Cookies, Pixels, Consent & GPC

We use essential, analytics, personalization, and advertising cookies.

Where required by law, you can manage consent via our cookie banner. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required and reasonably linkable.

Advertising and analytics may include Google (GA4, Ads), Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Trustpilot, activated only according to your consent settings.

6) Relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to operate and improve its services across merchants. For details on Shopify’s practices, see Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and Privacy Portal.

7) Third-Party Service Providers

We share only the minimum necessary data with trusted processors, including:

Commerce & Payments: Shopify, Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal

Marketing & Analytics: Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Klaviyo

Messaging: ManyChat

Forms: Typeform

Operations & Fulfillment: manufacturing and fulfillment partners; shipping carriers (Canada Post, USPS, UPS, FedEx, Chit Chats)

Reviews: Trustpilot (order reference data only, with consent)

Text messaging opt-in data is excluded from third-party sharing.

8) Disclosures We May Make

We may disclose personal information to service providers, business partners where permitted, affiliates in corporate transactions, legal authorities, or with your direction or consent.

9) Selling, Sharing & Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money.

We may share identifiers and online activity with advertising partners for measurement and retargeting, subject to consent and opt-out rights. GPC signals are honored where required.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors under applicable law.

10) Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary:

Orders, tax, and accounting records: up to 7 years
Support interactions: up to 24 months
Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity
Analytics data: typically 14–26 months
Quiz responses: up to 24 months

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive data via unsecured channels.

12) Data Breach Notification

If a breach poses a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and regulators as required by law.

13) Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, object to processing, or withdraw consent.

14) International Transfers

We are based in Canada. Data may be processed in the U.S. or other countries by our providers, using lawful safeguards where required.

16) Data Protection Officer

Not required at this time. If appointed, details will be added here.

17) EU / UK Representative

VHUES BEAUTY is not established in the EEA or UK and does not intentionally target or monitor individuals in those regions within the meaning of Article 27 GDPR. If this changes, we will appoint a representative and update this Policy.
